The GR IV includes a dedicated Macro Mode capable of focusing down to 6 cm (2.4 inches) from the front element. Combined with the large APS-C sensor's natural shallow depth-of-field and rendering, it delivers detail and background bokeh for food, textures, and product close-ups.
The GR IV includes an upgraded 5-axis sensor-shift Shake Reduction (SR) mechanism. It provides up to 6 stops of shutter speed compensation in the center of the image frame (and up to 4 stops near the edges) according to CIPA standards, vastly improving low-light handheld shooting over previous generations.
Yes, the camera comes with a generous 53 GB of built-in internal storage, allowing you to capture roughly 500-600 RAW images or over 2,000 JPEGs without a card inserted. For expandable storage, it utilizes a microSD / microSDHC / microSDXC card slot (UHS-I compatible).
Designed as an ultimate snapshot camera, the GR IV features a fast start-up sequence of approximately 0.6 seconds. It uses a Hybrid Autofocus system combining image-plane phase-matching and contrast detection, supported by dedicated face/eye detection and RICOH's signature Snap Focus mode for instant preset distance shooting.
The camera uses the DB-120 rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which is rated for approximately 250 still shots per full charge (CIPA standard). Charging and high-speed data transfer are handled via a USB Type-C port, which supports USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) for charging on the go using power banks.
The RICOH GR IV features a 25.74-megapixel back-illuminated APS-C CMOS sensor paired with a newly designed 18.3mm f/2.8 prime lens (equivalent to 28mm in 35mm format). The lens construction consists of 7 elements in 5 groups (including 3 aspherical elements) engineered for sharp, high-contrast images from center to edge with minimal distortion.

I had such a great experience! I was losing hope since the Fujifilm x100vi was back ordered everywhere and I needed it before my trip. Unlike most importers, they hold UK stock so I received my couriered Nikon next day included in the base cost!
